Category: GO Train Vandal

A chat with a security expert

A couple of days ago I had an interesting talk with a senior member of a computer security firm on the topic of the GO Transit vandalism. I'd like to share some of the interesting details of that conversation.

Joshua is not the hacker...he's just not smart enough

Joshua has responded to the suspicion that he is the hacker responsible for putting the "Stephen Harper Eats Babies" message on LED displays on GO Trains last week.

Mentioned in Computerworld

It's a minor quote, but this blogger earned a mention in this article about the GO Train hacker in this online issue of Computerworld.

The GO Transit Hacker: What to do?

Some reaction on the story of the GO Transit hacker.

Is Joshua the GO Transit hacker?

This incident in which someone took control of an LED display unit on a GO Transit train and used it to display the message "Stephen Harper Eats Babies" continues to intrigue me.

Now I think I have an idea of who might have done it. Or at least, I can report on another person's suspicions.

Turns out I was right

The GO Transit hacker probably used a wireless remote to modify the text of the display to read "Stephen Harper eats babies".

Gerry Nicholls gives use some more on the GO Transit "Stephen Harper eats babies" incident.

It's a big deal

The "Stephen Harper Eats Babies" incident might seem amusing, and if you're not sure what I'm talking about, read the details and consider getting in touch with the people involved to demand some action.

A captive audience

A strange experience for riders of the GO train out of Toronto. Vandalism goes high-tech.
