Liberal Party leader Stephane Dion is promising to make Canada richer and fairer and greener...and it's going to rock!

"Beyond that, we want to have fun in life. Under a Liberal government, Canada will have more movies, more novels, more theatres and more music."

Really? More novels? More music? The government is in charge of that sort of thing?

You'd think that the Conservatives had cancelled all arts funding, and then outlawed laughing just to be mean about it.

But let the Liberals play up the arts thing. Maybe they think it's a hot button issue with Canadians. My sense is that it isn't, but then Stephane Dion has a great sense of what is hot!
