It's not a big deal, but it shows the level of confusion that seems to bedevil the Liberal Party under Stephane Dion.
If you go to the Liberal Party's profile of Stephane Dion, you get a nice picture, a lengthy biography, contact information, and his website address.
The address given is www.stephanedion.ca.
Makes sense.
But when you click on that link, you get nothing.
The domain name is registered by the riding association of Saint-Laurent-Cartierville, but no one has bothered to map an IP address to that URL. The URL looks good, seems logical, but goes nowhere.
Stephane Dion does have a standard freebie website that is offered to all MPs at parl.gc.ca. In Stephane Dion's case, you go to www.stephanedion.parl.gc.ca.
That's great. Now only if someone is the Liberal Party headquarters would bother redirecting www.stephanedion.ca to this parl.gc.ca address, it would look like Stephane Dion actually had a website.
Has anyone noticed until now? Or maybe no one ever goes to www.stephanedion.ca. Or maybe they do, see nothing, and just don't care.
