ELECT EDY HADDAD FOR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT IN WINDSOR TECUMSEHPress Release
Tuesday, November 6th 2007Art, Music, Politics= Love Revolution
Edy Haddad is announcing to the Media his intention to join the Liberal party of Canada to help stop the direction our Country is going, and set us on a new path. After years of corruption, Edy believes the time is right to turn the party of change, to the love party.
The love Revolution is the beginning of a citizen’s movement that many hope will inspire our community to get active. Through art, music, dance and love, he hopes he can bring the issues that affectsour lives on a daily basis to the people.
Love of country, love of environment, love of each other is how we will make our city rise.
We are the city of roses, yet we are full of thorn bushes. It is time we bloom.
The Love revolution will culminate with a student strike on Feb 14th demanding free tuition for students, and removing the sentence to poverty in which we force our children to live. This will be Achieved through harnessing the power of the Internet, and creating a movement through the most powerful way.
Edy Haddad has been singing his entire life in his church, school, and community. His voice so inspired, unique, that many believe will change the way we look at politics and music forever.
He sings Opera, to blues, to electronic house, to hip hop and R&B. His dance style can only be qualified as mix of hip hop, house, and unique.
Through words, poetry, and song, he can and is changing the way we look at our modern politicians. Edy is almost completed writing his own album to be released in the New Year, titled Hit Storms.
Edy Haddad has lost over 100 pounds since his journey began to change the world. He believes that a healthy society is the only way to create a functioning society. His goal in life is not achieve success, but to be a Role Model. It is the one thing our world is missing the most.
Two songs have been attached to illustrate his direction, and talent. Thank you.

The four hundred sign-ups to his Facebook group seem to be mostly friends of Edy Haddad's in Detroit, both within the Muslim community there and beyond, primarily high school students and college kids. In fact, the only noteworthy sign-up I spotted was John McParland, an former Anglican priest, a former manager of JPs gay strip club in Windsor, a former municipal candidate for Windsor council, and now a gay marriage activist.
Right now, there is no official Liberal Party candidate for Windsor-Tecumseh, so Edy Haddad has the field wide open to run on the platform of no tuition and the Love Revolution.
It'll be fun to see if the Liberal Green Light Committee has any objections to a run by Edy Haddad (I spotted nothing online that would disqualify him). And if Edy Haddad can translate some of his online popularity into a rush of Liberal memberships and a successful nomination, Joe Comartin of the NDP might find himself being challenged to a sing-off and contemporary dance showdown at the next election.
Do you think provincial Liberal MPP for Windsor-Tecumseh, Dwight Duncan, now Ontario's Minister of Finance, would lend a hand to Edy's campaign if Edy Haddad won the nomination?
Maybe Edy Haddad can put Stephane Dion's musings about raising the GST to music. Might make it an easier sell to Canadians.
I'm going to raise the GST
Since economists say Harper is a fool
You ought to be paying extra for everything you need
So Edy Haddad doesn't have to pay for school
OK, I know my lyrics are whack. If you think you can do better, go for it, but don't rack my beats.
