Sleepovers are lots of fun:
The participants typically stay up late, while talking and playing until they fall asleep. Sleepovers are usually held at one participant's house, with other guests bringing their own pillows and other bedtime paraphernalia most of the time. In certain occasions, guests play board games, have pillow fights, watch movies, or build forts, consisting primarily of pillow and blankets.
Pillow fights, forts, doing each other's hair, talking about boys...

All kidding aside, I find this particularly interesting given the dire situation the Liberals find themselves with regards to donations:
Stephen Harper's Tories raised $5.1-million in the quarter ended March 31, nearly 10 times more than Stephane Dion's Liberals.
And Jack Layton's New Democrats raised $1.2-million, about twice as much as the $588,841 that the Liberals were able to bring in between January and March, 2007.
While the NDP and the Conservatives gloated over their results, the Liberals were on the defensive, explaining that they relaxed their fundraising efforts in this quarter after raising $6.5-million in the period ended Dec. 31, 2006.
[Some] Liberals were grumbling yesterday about "donor fatigue," and that the new leader, Mr. Dion, is not catching on.
"Dion is not exactly a big draw ...," a veteran Liberal said.
Clearly the Liberals have been depending on the wrong type of fundraising activiities. Slumber parties for the girls, and bowling night for the boys -- that's the way to close this gap!
But then if it works, and it's fun, then why not? As I write this, they're probably doing makeovers.
An odd thing -- the address. There is a house at 41 Acacia Ave, but I can't determine who lives there. You would think that the hostess would have the party at her home. That would mean having it at Stornaway, the official residence of the Leader of the Opposition. Janice Krieber is Stephane Dion's wife. Stornaway is located at 541 Acacia Ave --- see what I mean? 41? 541? Is this a typo? Or just a weird coincidence?
For now I'll assume that the official residence of the Leader of the Opposition is not being rented out for pay-to-attend party functions. Still, the fact remains that the Liberals are $4.5 million behind the Conservatives. That's going to mean a lot of sleepovers.
