Leader

Liberal Bryan Leblanc has started a movement to elect a Liberal in Central Nova.

But now the group, not even a day old, has disappeared. Silenced by Stephane Dion's people? Shut down by the owner, as it turns out.

Main Story

Bryan Leblanc was the communications co-chair of Shiela Copps' leadership campaign. After the announcement of the Stephane Dion deal with Elizabeth May, Leblanc created this Facebook group, Elect a Liberal MP in Central Nova:

Elect a Liberal MP in Central Nova

The Liberal Party of Canada, that has formed the government of Canada for 80 of the last 110 years, has made the decision to support another party, a fringe party that has never even come close to electing a single Member of Parliament, in the next federal election.

If you don't agree with this decision, please join this group and make your voice heard.

As I write this, the group has 4 members, including Leblanc. Let's see if it grows.

And you have to wonder for every Leblanc willing to go public against this move, there might be a half-dozen Liberals working behind the scenes against this move, and against Stephane Dion.

If you find other such groups, or are starting one of your own, I'll list them here.

Update: The group is no longer visible. I can only speculate that with the attention it has earned, it has gone underground, or was shut down by Liberal Party enforcers. Maybe someone who knows what's going on can tell us what happened.

Update: Bryan responded to my email. He closed the group after finding the it very "instructive". What did he learn? He won't say, beside that I have a lot of time on my hands.
