Paul Wells at Maclean's criticizes the boss in front of the new employees, but the posting is quickly erased, never to be seen again.

Well, not quite.

Reader Mike spotted this curiousity.

This link appears on Paul Wells' Maclean's blog, Inkless Wells:

Sounds interesting, but when you click on it, the entry is missing.

However, it still exists in the RSS feed:

Welcome, friends!
from Macleans: Inkless Wells by Paul Wells

The good news is that, as part of the new bigger Rogers family, all A- Channel employees will be permitted to write blogs with atrocious software on un-navigable websites that will never, ever improve. Because that's what working for Rogers offers us all. No, don't thank us!

Wonder what that's about? Rogers is taking over A-Channel:

Communication giant Rogers is paying $137.5 million for A-Channel, which has operations in Ottawa and other Canadian centres as well as other broadcast assets.

CTVglobemedia Inc. is selling 10 broadcast operations in a deal that would help pave the way to get approval of its purchase of CHUM Ltd. for $1.7 billion.

The sale of the A-Channel and specialty channel assets and the CHUM takeover are all subject to approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission and the Competition Bureau.

You might not know this, but Rogers has owned Maclean's since 1994. It looks like Paul Wells might have taken a step too far in criticizing the boss in front of the new employees. Still, the folks at Rogers need to understand that complaining about the blogging software is like complaining about the weather -- everyone does it and nobody listens.

Well, except for me. I love my blog software.
