From the Google blogsearch:
Harper on the military
3 Apr 2007 by Jason Cherniak
Anybody remember when Harper said that casualties in Afghanistan improve the Canadian military? Here's a video that uses the clip. I hope I did it some justice.
The weasel has yanked it as being reported on National Newswatch:
Cherniak Suggests Harper Wants Troops To Suffer Casualties?
NOTE: This Item Has Been Removed From Cherniak's Blog
Perhaps I went a too far with this one. With no training in media, I didn't realize how strong an emotional reaction I was creating...
According to Jason, you need media training to know when accusing others of hoping people would die could generate a "strong" and "emotional" reaction.
Funny, seems like common sense to me.
Red Tory captures it perfectly:
Needless to say, it appears more than a little inconsistent for Mr. Cherniak to blast the Conservatives for their spree of attack ads and then go on to produce a wretchedly hamfisted ad that’s both malicious in spirit and deliberately misleading. I most certainly hope that future videos forming part of this grassroots initiative by Liberal bloggers will strive for a higher tone or even, dare one imagine, a bit of cleverness, rather than exploring the shabbiest and most distasteful aspects of negative advertising.
Now I didn't visit the page before it was deleted, so I didn't have a cached copy. Does that mean we'll never know?
Of course not! Somebody must have recovered it. And indeed, someone has! Take a look and enjoy the accompanying commentary.
Stand by your material, or explain your changes, or just stop blogging Jason. This isn't for cowards and wannabees. You were better off hanging out on forums and accusing people of pedophilia and sodomy.
Feel like sharing your opinion with Jason? Well, since he's deleted the post you can't leave a comment. All you can do is email him directly.
Not sure he'll read it? Jason brags about how he is the president of the Richmond Hill Federal Liberal Riding Association. Drop them a line to let them know how their president is portraying the Liberal Party cause.
