Interview with NDP leader Jack Layton

A remarkable example of citizen journalism with NDP leader Jack Layton sitting down with NDP Liberal Conservative blogger Stephen Taylor to deliver a 15 minute interview. Sometimes Jack Layton makes sense, sometimes not so much. But it's a fascinating conversation to listen to.

That's what makes Taylor and y'all the 2 top Conservative blogs .
You both go beyond the typical ( link to MSM, add snark ) political blogs.
Sometimes you make sense, sometimes not so much but always a facinating read.

Layton can now enjoy himself in the HoCs and always attacking Harper and voting against the Conservative govt on every measure .. and then sit back and watch the Dion Liberals and Duceppe BQ slit their own throats by voting with the NDP to precipitate an election that will be both their demise.

Layton's only problem will be with Green LizzieMay slithering amongst the strategic voting lefty tree huggers ... together with the Stop Harper neoDeviates who have infiltrated the NDP to the highest levels. So Layton's political life ain't necessarily a bed of red roses ... oh well ...!!!

Well, Jack is your typical Socialist, SOMETIMES he makes sense ,
that's what gets your attention, then he goes off the rails into the
land of Oz, his true home.

Reality and Socialists just are not a fit.

I was surprised by the number of commenters over at Stephen Taylor's blog who were taken with how "nice" Jack Layton is. His being nice or not nice is completely irrelevant to the conversation. (In fact, I find the disconnect between his seeming "normalcy"--no histrionics, plodding style, wooden facial expression-- and his socialist, moonbat designs for cradle-to-grave accommodations for Canadians, all at OUR expense, a little creepy...)

What's central to Jack Layton's agenda is that he's a left-wing idealogue who has never, in his long political career, contributed one practical or successful idea or policy for the running of a Canada of self-reliant individuals and communities.

Jack's proposed policies are always government-subsidized and he never expects any sacrifice on the part of either the individual or the community if Big and Intrusive Sugar-Daddy Government can get the work done--all at the expense of the rest of us. And then he puts on his Cheshire Cat smile and sighs "Oh, what a good boy am I!"

His manner of dress--just like a Bay Street executive whom he loves to slag--has always puzzled me. He can't see any advantages to private enterprise (which hires all of his Union buddies at exhorbitant hourly rates plus benefits), and yet he advocates robbing Peter (private business) to pay Paul (anyone who can prove their victim status).

What a piece of work is Jack Layton. A socialist in an executive's clothing. Run for your life, folks, or he'll take it!
