Jack Layton's blatant lies has cost him one supporter. One that we know about, that is.

Reuben J. Laframboise is going to need a new signature line.

Prior to this weekend, he used this catchy line:

S.O.C.I.A.L.I.S.M. is here to stay, S.O.C.I.A.L.I.S.M. is the only way

But things have changed, thanks to Jack Layton:

I’ve decided to cut all ties with the NDP this weekend, and here’s why.

He goes on to explain how Jack Layton shamelessly lied, using Hamid Karzai's words out of context to suggest that Canadian troops were not welcome in Afghanistan. I posted on this, and on how the full context of Karzai's statements revealed the opposite was true.

Apparently this was too much for Laframboise:

The Afghan president is incredibly grateful for the work our soldiers are doing over there. So why is Jack Layton and his NDP calling for a complete withdrawal of all Canadian troops?

For years I’ve acknowledged that NDP foreign policy is completely ass backwards, but I ignored it because I agreed with the rest of their policies: cheaper education, free health care, equality for gays.

I can’t ignore it any longer, though. Their foreign policy is so flawed it makes me want to scream! Jack Layton actually wants to engage in negotiations with the Taliban.

In the US, we call people like actor Ron Silver "War Democrats". They still ascribe to the social agenda of the American Left, but see the naivete with regards to terrorism and other foreign threats as more than just embarassing, but indeed dangerous.

Is Laframboise a "War Dipper"?

It’s this ignorant attitude that has led to the erosion of our armed forces, and if Jack Layton even bothered to speak with one soldier, he’d realize that they don’t paticularly like being referred to as “peacekeepers.” I’ve spoken with many soldiers, and they’ve all told me this. They’re not “peacekeepers,” they’re soldiers! They’re trained to fight wars!

Laframboise is running the Blogging Tories blogroll. I don't see the blog at the website -- maybe Laframboise is not sure how he'd be received.

How many War Dippers are out there? If Jack Layton keeps up with the lies, we might find out more than a few.
