Deb Frisch is facing charges

Deb Frisch is facing criminal charges for her vile trolling activities. This is probably a first for the blogosphere.

From Blog P.I.:

The saga of Deborah Frisch, long-time comment troll and all-around kook, took another troubling, but not exactly unforeseeable turn in the last 48 hours. As far as we know, she is now the first troll of the political blogosphere to face criminal charges relating to that activity. On August 21 she was arraigned in an Oregon courtroom on charges of stalking and telephone harassment.

She faces misdemeanor stalking and telephone harassment charges, probably focusing on her treatment of her former colleagues at the University of Arizona, since her abuse of conservative bloggers never included telephone calls.

Read the whole thing -- this might be a significant, if sad, milestone for blogging.

Holy Batman! Even if no ones agreed with her or how she was a troublemaker, that is kind of sad in some ways... You're right, Steve, that is a sad milestone.

However, I have to say that it is good to see her facing justice for some of her bad behaviors.

Let's see:
She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
She's not the brighest bulb on the tree.
Her eleveator doesn't reach the top floor.
She's a few sandwitches short of a picnic.
There's some bats loose in her belfry.
She's got a few screws loose.

What else? The poor woman is obviously in need of care. Prior to the interenet at least you could have a nervous breakdown in private but nowadays you can broadcast it all over the net.

You missed the best ones:

The cheese slid off her cracker.
Too much yardage between the goal posts.
The wheel's spinning but the hamster's dead.

The scary part is that an institute of higher learning once thought enough of her wattage to put her on the payroll.

Talk about a downward spiral. Now the question is has she hit rock bottom?

She definitely has severe issues that she'll have to deal with. I hope she finds some sort of peace..althought she'll probably melt some more before that happens.

She took on a UCLA law professor about a year ago, and continued to stalk him. Perhaps he finally had had enough...

I'm glad somebody finally took her seriously, first, the individual who reported her and then the judicial system which charged her. More than being a nutcase, and there are a lot of those around (every family has at least one), IMHO she's a dangerous person.

I don't know if she means to be dangerous, but her actions of threatening lives and signing other (real) people's names to suicide notes goes way over the top. These aren't just pranks, they put others in jeopardy--either their lives or their reputations.

St. Paul's Letter to James is very wise, like all of his epistles, when he says that the tongue can kill. It's a lethal weapon, and Deb Frisch has used hers, and the extension of it, her pen (well, her computer), as a weapon.

I really hope that this charge puts an end to her surfing the Net days, and that she gets the help she desperately needs. I also hope that those who have charged her are the recipients of justice.

Deb Frish might just apply for a job a Lakehead University here in Thunder Bay -- seems our "Dr" Gilbert is openly using Bush bashing for student recruiting (and perhaps faculty) - afterall why hide it? Torontonians will get the benefit of a "Yale Schmale" campaign with Bush as LUs poster boy. The message: come to LU and you'll never need to worry about becoming the democratically elected leader of the most powerful free nation on the planet when you can play hockey, drink beer with your buds and get a bonus liberal arts degree. Lack of academic rigour (or a foul mouth) won't hurt you here.(http://www.chroniclejournal.com/cat_index_24.php)

Deb could probably find some kindred spirits /happy home here! Lucky us in NWO.
