On December 20 and 21, Evan Dyer of CBC Radio One in Ottawa presented a two-part investigation into the issue of Liberal MP David Smith, member of parliament for the riding of Pontiac.
David Smith's home-based business Abotech was in the news when several government contracts were terminated after a KPMG audit for reasons that have never been clearly explained by the government. An investigation by this blogger raised all sorts of interesting questions, and those questions have piqued the interest of the main stream media.
You can now listen to those reports here. These broadcasts are recreated here with the permission of the CBC.

After the revelations about this liberal thief, it's a wonder that he has the gall to even stand as a candidate in Pontiac.
Come to think of it, how in blazes could any of Pontiac's voters actually cast a vote for this porker?

Perhaps they won't.

WTG Angry
Imagine a computer consulting firm
with NO website receiving $500K a year in non-competitive contracts from our beloved government to do what??
To be a middle man; to oversee another fed contract.
WHY ????
You'd think the feds would oversee the contracts themselves what with the 5 minutes of work involved. That is what Abotech claims is the amount of work involved in their contracts.
So easy! His wife and kids could do it!
This really stinks..
Wake up Canada !!!

Hey Angry, love the site.
I had a little tidbit to add to the whole abotech blog. I am from maniwaki, same place as Smith and Brazeau, and I have seen some rather shady things but never knew what the connection was until I read the entire blog on abotech. David worked at a furniture store called Branchaud as a manager. A friend of mine showed me some mail he once received. This was a frequent request from this man becasue he was almost completely illiterate, so I would give him a hand when requested. Here is the funny bit. He used to get a pile of mail but did not recognize the name, this gentleman also was of algonquin ancestry and resided and continues to reside on the reserve that borders Maniwaki. If you have a native status card and purchase goods off the reserve and get your bill mailed to you on the reserve, YOU DON"T PAY ANY TAX!! I will give you 2 guesses on whose name was on all the "Branchaud" bills when David Smith was manager of that store but you may only need 1! BRAZEAU.
p.s.
The tax man paid a visit to that store last year and found out the little trick of mailing bills to a reserve, the owner of the store had to pay one hell of a fine.
