Cindy Sheehan, the Gold Star mother who has become a lightning rod for opposition to the war in Iraq, has moved to Berkeley. According to her sister, Dede Miller, Sheehan moved here about a month ago.

"She enjoys Berkeley and the city's progressive nature," said Miller. "But she now lives in Berkeley because some nice folks offered her an apartment space in their home, and Berkeley is not too far from Vacaville, where her kids live."

Um, old news, people. I posted about this three days past, and revealed that the "nice folks" are the Pearcy's who like to decorate their Sacramento home with effigies American soldiers, hanging by a noose, with crude signs hanging around their necks.

So go ahead and enjoy Berkeley's vicious progressive nature.
