Angry in the Great White North

At Fallen Heroes Memorial, a page of condolences is set up for every American soldier who has fallen in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The site is patriotic, but apolitical. It makes no mention of George W Bush, or foreign policy, or Israel, or 9/11. Each page allows people to add their message of comfort, or of a personal memory, for each soldier being honoured.

On Casey Sheehan's page, however, there is a note of discord:

Notice: This is a memorial page for Spc. Casey Sheehan. This is not a political forum nor Cindy Sheehan's personal message board. Any messages not directly related to Spc. Casey Sheehan are inappropriate for this website and will be removed or edited.

One can only imagine what the page must have looked like. And so the maintainers of this virtual memorial are charged with the task to scrub the graffiti off Casey's shrine, simply because his mother has decided to make him the centrepiece of her political campaign.
