Moving on

Some people have indicated that I should move on. I will, and soon, but let me explain why I've focused so much on CIndy Sheehan recently.
- I find the story personally fascinating, and when all is said and done, blogging is based on personal interest. Hence all the cat blogs.
- The nature of grief. How the grieving can be supported, ignored, or twisted.
- Political protest, and how it can be effective, or counter-productive.
- How people can become deluded with wild expectations. How they assign those expectations to others as protection for when those expectations are not met.
- The difference between being a passionate supporter and a rabid groupie.
- The consequences of free speech.
- The lack of too much political news on the Canadian front (though I have written a few bits on the new governor-general appointment).
- I'm not well-versed in Judge Roberts or Air America to be able to follow those stories well, that is, too my standards, or to add anything new.
- Frankly, the traffic has been great.
The last is tricky, of course. I take this too far, and traffic will drop off as people lose interest. Not to worry, though, I have other ideas for stories working their way around in my noggin. As for Sheehan, just as I figure this is about to lose steam, something new happens, like the letter from the rest of the family, and it opens a new cache of interesting issues that people seem to like debating.
Today, we'll see how the mega-protest at Camp Casey is working out. And maybe I'll get some posts on other stuff in as well.
